ORLANDO, Florida – October 22, 2015 – Straddling the line between fall and winter Halloween is a time of celebration and superstition. When the winds shift, you smell cinnamon and apple cider, with abundant Instagram photos of Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes you know Halloween parties are on the way.

It’s that time of year again for one of the most incredibly constructed and decorated Halloween events we have ever seen: Cremer’s Halloween Party. We spoke to Christina (a.k.a the Bride of Dracula and Stuff the Magic Dragon) an Apopka native who we met last October that reached out to the creators Troy and Scott Cremer. Orlando Cosplay spoke with Troy and Scott, the creators of this 14 year old event that has taken place in Deltona, Orlando and now Apopka.

We can only describe this as Cosmic Neon Beer Pong! Incredible concept.

This is very much so a family run event. Each light bulb has been switched, the front lawn has been changed into a grave yard, the side of the house has been transformed into what Troy describes as the “Haunted Tunnel”, which is actually staffed by family members that jump out at you as you enter the tunnel. Approaching the front lawn you already know its going to be a scare fest. The lawn is carefully scattered with a slew of horrifying objects straight out of your night mares. A clearly labeled path ushers you to the side of the house and the mouth of a looming of the black tunnel. Entering the tunnel Jason Vorhees greets you with his infamous chainsaw and you are sent running in fear right into the arms of Michael Myers. Reaching the end of the tunnel after being frightened and startled numerous times you come into the pool area and breathe a sigh of relief. However, the Halloween fun has just begun.

In case you’re wondering Troy’s favorite horror movie is the 1978 “Halloween” starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Scott’s favorite movie is the original Friday the 13th with Kane Hodder as Jason Voorhees.

Coming into the house you find yourself completely submerged into Halloween central.  You are surrounded by everything from skeletons looming menacing over to you to cackling witches mocking you from across the room. Also you find a smorgasbord of spooky themed food. Exploring the house is an adventure and when asked about one of the empty rooms in the house the owners say that that is exclusively the Halloween room where the keep their decorations year round. Here are some additional shots of attendees from previous years:

This years work is coming along nicely. “It’s a family effort,” Troy tells us. “We do a lot of shopping for our Halloween decorations in addition to recycling our decorations from previous years.”

“We like to keep this event for our close friends and their friends.”, Troy continued. The family team puts a lot of effort into what they do and we look forward to attending this private event at the end of this month!
